Astoria Regatta 2016

The 2016 Astoria Regatta sailing races were held on Saturday and Sunday the 13th and 14th of August.  There was plenty of wind both days and numerous fishing boats to dodge.  As usual, the conditions were challenging and the racing was good.  We had a guest boat from the Island Sailing Club competing in a Wavelength 24, it was great to have them here and we hope they come back again next year.

Congratulations go out to Norm Shatto and the crew of Mach One for winning this year's regatta.  It was a very tight competition between Mach One and Wildfire with the final score being tied after five races and Norm getting the win with a throw out.  Full results are posted under "Racing Results 2016" to the right.

Memorial Cup

The 2016 Memorial Cup was held this last Saturday, July 16th.  The weather cooperated and as the day continued the sailing got better and better.  Congratulations to Mike Campbell and Rattler, an Olson 30, for winning the event.  Results are posted to the right under "Racing Results".
