Is the Astoria Yacht Club open to the public?
Astoria Yacht Club is a volunteer-run, member organization. The clubhouse is not open for regular public hours and is generally accessed during scheduled club events or by members and their guests.
Do I need to be a member to visit the clubhouse?
Yes. Because the clubhouse is not staffed, access is typically limited to members or guests attending scheduled events. Prospective members are encouraged to visit our website or contact a club member to learn more.
Do members have access to the clubhouse?
Yes. Once your membership is approved, you’ll receive the access code for the clubhouse, which allows 24/7 member access. Please note that the code is for members only and should not be shared.
Do you rent boat slips?
No. Astoria Yacht Club does not rent slips. Slips are managed separately through the West Mooring Basin.
Do I need to own a boat to join the club?
No. Boat ownership is not required. Many members participate by crewing on other boats, racing, cruising, or taking part in club activities and events.
How do I join the Astoria Yacht Club?
Membership information and applications are available on our website under Join / Membership. Applications are reviewed by the club, and membership is open to sailors of varying experience levels. You do not need to have experience to join.
How do I submit my membership application and dues?
Applications may be submitted online or mailed in. Dues are typically mailed or dropped off with a club member who has access to the clubhouse. Details are provided on the membership pages of our website.
Does the club offer racing and cruising?
Yes. The club hosts sailboat racing, RC racing, cruising events, regattas, and social activities throughout the year.
Are there crew opportunities?
Yes. The club maintains crew lists to help skippers and crew connect for both racing and cruising opportunities. You do not need your own boat to participate.
Does the Astoria Yacht Club have reciprocal privileges with other clubs?
